Delete your data

Ranking Filter has no accounts, so there is no account to close. Here is what exists, where it is, and how to have it deleted.
On your iPhone
Your videos, settings and downloaded filter pictures are only on your iPhone. We never receive them, so only you can delete them:
- Discard a video in the app, or delete it from Photos if you saved it.
- Delete the app to remove everything else it stored. The only thing left is a small note in your iPhone's keychain about which one-time offers you've had, which contains no personal details.
Videos you shared to other apps or services must be deleted there.
Usage and crash reports
Google Firebase holds anonymous usage events and crash reports, keyed to a random app instance ID rather than your name or email. They are deleted automatically: usage events after 14 months, crash reports after 90 days. Deleting the app stops them and resets the ID.
Because these reports aren't linked to you, we can only find them with your help. To ask us to delete them sooner, tell us roughly when you used the app and your iPhone model.
Purchase records
RevenueCat keeps a record of your subscription under a random anonymous customer ID, so the app knows you have Premium. We can delete this record on request; include the order ID from Apple's receipt email so we can find it. Some transaction details must be kept for tax and accounting rules, and deleting the record does not cancel your subscription. Cancel it first in Settings › [your name] › Subscriptions.
Support messages
If you contacted us, we hold your email address, your name if you gave it, your messages and any app details you chose to include. We keep support messages for as long as we need them to help you, and we delete them when you ask. That includes the copy delivered to our Gmail inbox.
How to ask us to delete your data
Use the support form or email [email protected] with the subject "Delete my Ranking Filter data". Please include:
- what you'd like deleted (support messages, purchase record, usage data, or all of it);
- for support messages: write from the email address you used before;
- for a purchase record: the order ID from Apple's receipt email;
- for usage data: roughly when you used the app and your iPhone model.
We will delete what we can find within 30 days and confirm by email. We may ask a question to make sure the request comes from you.
What Apple holds
Apple keeps your Apple ID, your App Store purchase history and your payment details. We can't see or delete these. You can manage or delete your Apple data at privacy.apple.com.
More detail is in the privacy policy.
