Terms of Use | Ranking Filter

These terms are an agreement between you and The Apptor ("we", "us") about your use of the Ranking Filter app and this website. By downloading or using the app you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

Who can use Ranking Filter

Ranking Filter is rated 4+ on the App Store and can be used by people of any age. If you are under 18, or under the age of majority where you live, you need a parent or guardian's permission to buy a subscription. Younger children should use the app with a parent or guardian.

The app

Ranking Filter is an entertainment app. Picks appear on your forehead on camera and you rank them from 1 to 10 while your screen is recorded. The Love Language filter is free. Other filters need a Premium subscription.

We add, change and remove filters and features from time to time. Face placement depends on your camera, lighting and device, so it will not always be perfect.

Premium subscriptions

Ranking Filter Unlimited unlocks every filter, including new filters while your subscription is active.

It is offered as a weekly or a yearly subscription. The price, length and anything included are shown in the app before you buy.
Payment is charged to your Apple ID when you confirm the purchase.
Subscriptions renew automatically at the same price and for the same length unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your Apple ID is charged for the renewal within 24 hours before the period ends.
You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time in your iPhone's Settings › [your name] › Subscriptions, or from Settings › Manage subscription in the app. After cancelling, you keep Premium until the end of the period you have paid for. Step-by-step help is on the support page.
Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.
If a free trial is offered, it is shown before you buy. If you do not cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends, the subscription starts and you are charged. Any unused part of a free trial ends when you buy a subscription.
If we change the price of a subscription, Apple tells you in advance and, where the law requires it, asks for your agreement before charging the new price.
You can restore Premium on another device using the same Apple ID with Restore purchases in the app's Settings.

Offers

From time to time the app may show special offers, such as a reduced price for the first year of a yearly subscription or one free video with a Premium filter.

A first-year offer is charged once at the offer price. After the first year it renews automatically at the normal yearly price shown in the offer, unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the year ends.
Offers are limited in time, may be available only once per person, cannot be combined, and may not be available in every country or to people who have subscribed before. Apple decides eligibility for App Store offers.
We may change or end an offer at any time, but this never changes the price you already agreed to.

Refunds

All purchases are made through Apple, so Apple handles refunds under its own policies. We cannot see your payment details or issue refunds ourselves. To ask for a refund, go to reportaproblem.apple.com, sign in with your Apple ID and choose Request a refund. Nothing in these terms affects any right to a refund you have under consumer law.

Your videos are yours

The videos you record belong to you. We never receive them and claim no rights in them. They stay on your iPhone until you save or share them.

You are responsible for what you record and share. Only film people who are happy to take part, respect other people's privacy, and follow the rules of any service you post to.

Acceptable use

When using Ranking Filter, you agree not to:

film anyone without their permission, or use the app to bully, harass, threaten or embarrass anyone;
make or share anything unlawful, hateful, obscene or explicit, or anything involving the exploitation of children;
copy, resell, reverse engineer or modify the app or its filter content, except where the law allows;
get around payments, offers or other limits, or interfere with the app, this website or our services;
misuse the support form, for example by sending spam.

Our content

The app, its design, its filters and their pictures and words belong to us or to the people who license them to us. We give you a personal, non-transferable licence to use the app and its filters to make your own videos, including sharing those videos on social media. You may not use the filter content on its own, outside your videos.

Some filters refer to well-known shows, brands, characters or people for fun and commentary. Ranking Filter is not affiliated with or endorsed by them, or by TikTok or any other platform you share to.

Apple's terms

If you downloaded Ranking Filter from the App Store, Apple's Licensed Application End User Licence Agreement also applies. If it conflicts with these terms, Apple's agreement applies to that point. Apple is not responsible for the app or its content and has no obligation to provide support for it; please contact us instead.

Disclaimers

Ranking Filter is for entertainment. We provide it "as is" and "as available". We work hard to keep it running well, but we cannot promise that it will always be available, free of errors, or work on every device. Rankings and picks are just for fun and are not anyone's real opinion of a person or thing.

Our liability

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud. If you are a consumer, your legal rights are not affected.

As far as the law allows, we are not liable for losses that were not foreseeable, for loss of data you did not save, or for what other people do with videos you share. Our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid for Ranking Filter in the 12 months before the claim.

Ending use

You can stop using Ranking Filter at any time by deleting the app (and cancelling any subscription). We may suspend or stop providing the app, or a feature, if we need to, for example to follow the law. If we stop providing the app completely, Apple handles any refund that applies.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms when the app changes or the law requires it. We change the date at the top when we do, and for significant changes we will also tell you in the app. If you keep using the app after a change, the updated terms apply.

Law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. If you live elsewhere, you also keep the protection of the mandatory consumer laws of your country, and you can bring a claim in your local courts.
