Random picks
You never know what lands next
Picks are drawn at random from the filter, so the reaction is real. That is the whole reason the format works and the reason a scripted version never does.
The ranking filter challenge app
A pick lands. You react. Rank it 1 to 10.
Random picks land on your forehead, a rating rail sits on screen, and the clip records itself. Filters for texts from guys, texts from girls, love languages, arguments and phobias, with more added over time.
Free to download. Vertical video, ready for TikTok, Reels and the group chat.

How it works
Pick, react, rank, post
-
Pick a filter
Love Language, Argument, Girls Texts, Guys Texts or Phobias, with more filters added over time.
-
React and rank on camera
A pick lands on your forehead. Say what you think, then tap a number from 1 to 10 to place it, and the next pick arrives. The rail and your rankings are recorded into the clip.
-
Share it
Choose a 15, 30 or 60 second video. When it ends, the clip is ready for TikTok, Reels or the group chat. No editing, no captions to add.
What is in the app
The challenge, minus the setup
Everything the format needs is in the recording: the note, the rail, your face.
Built into the camera
Rail, pick and face in one recording
The 1 to 10 rail and the pick on your forehead are part of the video, not a caption you add later. Flip between front and back camera, and turn on the light in a dim room.
Filters
Texts, love languages, arguments, phobias
The app ships its own filters. For more rounds off camera, this site has hundreds of questions to play out loud: this or that, would you rather, hot seat, truth or dare and more.
Solo or duo
Rank alone, or rank each other
Film a solo take, or pass the phone and let a friend, a partner or a sibling rank the same filter. Duets are where the arguments start.
Fresh filters
New filters with the trends
Filters are added as the format moves, so there is always something new to react to.
Share-ready
Vertical, clean, done
Clips come out in the vertical format the feeds expect, with nothing to crop or re-export.
Questions
Before you film
What is the ranking filter challenge?
A video format where a pick appears on your forehead, you react, and you rank it from 1 to 10. Ranking Filter puts the pick, the rating rail and the recording in one app, so the clip is ready to post when it ends.
Do I need TikTok to use it?
No. Ranking Filter records the clip on your phone. You share it wherever you like: TikTok, Reels, Shorts, a group chat, or nowhere.
Can I add my own picks?
Not in the app: it plays its own filters, and new filters are added over time. The question lists on this site are for playing out loud with friends, and they are written to be safe for a 4+ app, so they work with family in the room.
Is it free?
Ranking Filter is free to download, and the Love Language filter is free to play. Ranking Filter Unlimited, a weekly or yearly subscription, unlocks every filter, including new ones as they arrive.
Your first ranking takes about a minute.
